How long results last varies with the lifting area and technique and your skin condition, so we provide an individualized explanation during consultation. Unlike a skin-only lift, a facelift also lifts the SMAS layer, a root cause of sagging, to pursue more fundamental improvement; however, natural aging continues afterward.
Incisions follow the hairline and natural creases around the ears, helping conceal the scars. An incision is made along the hairline from the temple to behind the ear and then sutured along the hairline to keep the scar from showing. Incision marks gradually fade over time.
The degree of sagging matters more than age. If changes such as sagging cheeks or jawline or deeper nasolabial folds have become noticeable, you can be assessed regardless of age. We evaluate the condition of your skin and tissues during consultation.
