[Rhinoplasty for Low Nose Bridge] # DefinedProfile # Naturally Elevated Nose Line [What Is Low Nose Bridge Rhinoplasty?] At Sugar Plastic Surgery, we don’t just focus on height we consider all five nasal angles to create a nose that is both natural and beautifully balanced. [Candidates for low bridge rhinoplasty] # When the nose is small and the nasal bridge is low # When a low nasal bridge makes the glabella (space between eyebrows) look overly wide # When a low bridge nose creates an unbalanced facial profile # When a low bridge nose makes the upper lip appear more prominent [Low bridge rhinoplasty procedure] #01 : A one-on-one consultation is conducted to select the surgical method and implant material, and a personalized design is created. #02 : After making an incision, the nasal bridge is dissected to secure enough space for the implant. #03 : Cartilage (from the septum or ear) is used to shape the nasal tip, and an implant is placed along the nasal bridge to achieve the desired height and contour. #04 : A beautifully balanced and ideal nose line is completed. [Hump Nose Rhinoplasty] #SofterLook #SmoothNasalLine If a prominent nasal hump gives off a sharp or overly strong impression, we’re here to soften your look. [What Is Hump Nose Rhinoplasty?] It’s important to note that correcting a hump nose isn’t just about removing the bump. Each case requires a tailored approach depending on the nasal anatomy, which is why it’s essential to have the procedure done by a specialist with a deep understanding of nasal structure. [Types of Hump Nose Deformities] #CASE 1. Mild Dorsal Hump / #CASE 2. Low Nose with Dorsal Hump / #CASE 3. Prominent Hump on a High Nose [What Makes Sugar’s Hump Nose Rhinoplasty Unique] At Sugar Plastic Surgery, we start with a one-on-one consultation and detailed facial analysis to understand the unique shape and structure of your nasal hump. Whether it’s a bony hump, a cartilage-related hump, or a deviated septum, we customize the surgical plan to create a smoother, more refined nose that truly fits your face. # POINT 01 : Evaluate the severity and type of dorsal hump / # POINT 02 : Determine whether an implant is needed / # POINT 03 : Check nasal bridge height, history of nasal tip surgery, and the structure of the protruding area to assess if bone trimming is necessary / # POINT 04 : Choose the optimal surgical plan based on the individual’s anatomy and complexity [Candidates for hump nose rhinoplasty] # When the mid-bridge area protrudes and the nasal line looks uneven # When the bridge is high, but the line appears bumpy or irregular # When trauma has caused the nasal bridge to become uneven or misshapen # When correction is needed even if the hump isn’t severe # When a dorsal hump is combined with a wide nasal bridge [Hump Nose Rhinoplasty] #CASE 1. Mild Dorsal Hump : If the hump is not severe, we remove just a small portion of the hump and lift the drooping nasal tip. / #CASE 2. Low Nose with a Hump : The hump is refined, and the drooping nasal tip is lifted. At the same time, an implant is used to augment the low nasal bridge. / #CASE 3. Large Hump with a High Nose : Lateral osteotomy is performed to narrow the wide nasal bones, and the drooping nasal tip is then elevated. Is osteotomy always necessary for dorsal hump rhinoplasty? Osteotomy is only performed when the nasal bones are wide. If the nasal bones are naturally wide or become wider after removing the hump, osteotomy may be necessary to achieve a more refined result. [Hump Nose Rhinoplasty– Key Information] # Surgery Duration : 2 hours / # Recovery Time : 1 week / # Anesthesia Type : Sedation anesthesia / # Clinic Treatment : 2 Visits / # Stitches Removal : 7 days after surgery
[Short Nose Rhinoplasty] #Short And Stubby #Upturned Nose Fix [What Is Short Nose Rhinoplasty?] At Sugar Plastic Surgery, our short nose correction (also known as upturned nose surgery) helps address cases where the nostrils are overly exposed when viewed from the front. [Take This Quick Self-Assessment] A short or upturned nose is defined as one with a nasolabial angle (the angle between the nose tip and upper lip) of 110° or more when viewed from the side. From the front, this type of nose often shows excessive nostril exposure due to the upward rotation of the tip. [What Makes Sugar’s Short Nose Rhinoplasty Unique] At Sugar Plastic Surgery, we tailor the procedure to your individual facial proportions lengthening the nose and lowering the tip just enough to avoid tension on the skin and soft tissues. The result? A beautifully balanced nasal angle that looks both natural and harmonious. #POINT 01 : Nasal bridge height tailored to facial proportions / #POINT 02 : A natural, refined nose line from both front and side views / #POINT 03 : Lengthening the nose and reducing nostril show / #POINT 04 : A customized, multi-approach surgery plan based on individual anatomy [Candidates for short nose (upturned nose)] # When the nose length is shorter than one-third of the face # When the angle between the nose tip and upper lip exceeds 110° # When the tip is upturned and the nostrils are too visible # When a short nose makes the face appear disproportionate or unbalanced [Short Nose (upturned nose) Rhinoplasty Procedure] By using strong cartilage grafts to rotate the upturned tip downward and provide structural support, we eliminate the need for additional grafts preventing tip retraction and deformation while maintaining the ideal nasal shape. [Short Nose Rhinoplasty- Key Information] # Surgery Duration : 2 hours / # Recovery Time : 1 week / # Anesthesia Type : Sedation anesthesia / # Clinic Treatment : 2 Visits / # Stitches Removal : 7 days after surgery
[Droopy Nose Rhinoplasty] #Droopy Nose Fix #Downturned Tip [What is Droopy Nose Rhinoplasty ?] To correct this, the procedure involves cutting the muscle that pulls the nasal tip downward when smiling, and at the same time, rotating the drooping columella upward. This repositions the nasal tip slightly higher and more forward, creating a softer and more refined impression. [What Makes Sugar’s Droopy Nose Rhinoplasty Unique] At Sugar Plastic Surgery, we take a personalized approach to every case considering the shape of your nose, the degree of drooping, and the underlying structural causes like an overgrown septum or imbalanced nasal support. We focus on correcting the downward tip to create a more refined and balanced nose shape that complements your overall facial harmony. #POINT 01 : We design the ideal nose length and proportion to match your facial balance. / #POINT 02 : We create the perfect angle between your nose and upper lip for a more attractive profile. / #POINT 03 : We lift and secure the nasal tip without leaving visible scars. / #POINT 04 : We customize the surgical plan based on your individual anatomy for the best possible results. [Candidates for Droopy Nose Rhinoplasty] # If your nose is longer than one-third of your entire face # If your septum appears overly extended # If the tip of your nose droops downward # If your nose looks long and gives an aged appearance [Droopy Nose Rhinoplasty Procedure] If the tip of your nose droops downward, we use strong cartilage to rotate and support the nasal tip upward. When needed, a portion of the alar cartilage is trimmed to refine the shape. If the nasal septum is excessively long, it is also trimmed to lift and support the drooping columella. [Droopy Nose Rhinoplasty– Key Information] # Surgery Duration : 2 hours / # Recovery Time : 1 week / # Anesthesia Type : Sedation anesthesia / # Clinic Treatment : 2 Visits / # Stitches Removal : 7 days after surgery
[Bulbous Nose Rhinoplasty] #Defined Nose Tip #Sharp Nose Line [What is Bulbous Nose Rhinoplasty?] By addressing these underlying causes, bulbous nose surgery helps refine and slim the nose tip, creating a more elegant nasal shape and improving overall facial balance. [What Makes Sugar’s Bulbous Nose Surgery Unique] At Sugar Plastic Surgery, we take a personalized approach to bulbous nose correction by analyzing the underlying causes and overall nose width. We reshape wide cartilage and remove excess fat to sculpt a more refined, contoured nasal tip. #POINT 01 : Designing the ideal nose width and proportions to match your facial balance / #POINT 02 : Performing surgery after accurately assessing the nasal tip structure and skin thickness / #POINT 03 : Using autologous (your own) cartilage for a safe procedure with no risk of rejection / #POINT 04 : Customized surgical approach tailored to each patient’s individual condition [Candidates for Bulbous Nose Rhinoplasty] # If the nasal tip droops or appears low and spread out compared to the nose bridge # If the skin around the nasal tip is thick # If the tip looks wide and flat # If the nose looks bulky or shapeless after previous surgery [Bulbous Nose Rhinoplasty Procedure] {CASE 1} When the nasal cartilages are widely spaced : We bring the nasal cartilages together and secure them at the center to create a more defined and refined nose tip. {CASE 2} When the skin on the tip of the nose is thick : We remove subcutaneous fat and use structures like the nasal septum and ear cartilage to elevate and narrow the nasal tip. {CASE 3} When the alar cartilages are naturally wide and overly developed : By trimming the alar cartilage to leave about 6–8mm in thickness, we reduce its overall size and either bring the cartilages together or tie them at the center. We may also use septal or ear cartilage to elevate the nasal tip, creating a more defined and refined appearance. [Bulbous Nose Rhinoplasty– Key Information] # Surgery Duration : 2 hours / # Recovery Time : 1 week / # Anesthesia Type : Sedation anesthesia / # Clinic Treatment : 2 Visits / # Stitches Removal : 7 days after surgery

For international patients

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions patients most often ask before planning surgery in Korea.

QHow do I know which nose type I have?

ADuring consultation we analyze your nose — low bridge, hooked, short, long, or bulbous — and explain which surgical approach fits your anatomy.

QIs a bulbous nose hard to correct?

ABulbous noses are improved by refining the tip cartilage and soft tissue. The exact approach depends on the cause, which we identify during examination.

QDoes a hooked nose always require bone shaving?

ANot necessarily. Depending on the degree of the hump and your overall nose line, correction can sometimes be achieved without osteotomy. The plan is decided after examination.

QHow long do I need to stay in Korea after surgery?

AIt depends on your procedure. For typical double eyelid surgery or rhinoplasty, stitches are removed 7-10 days after surgery, so staying at least about one week is standard.

QI do not speak Korean. Do you provide interpretation services?

AWe are a government-registered medical institution for international patients, with dedicated English-, Chinese-, and Japanese-speaking coordinators on staff. They support smooth communication through every step, from consultation to the operating room and aftercare.

QCan I get a tax refund (VAT refund) on the surgery cost?

AThe special VAT refund program for cosmetic surgery services for foreign tourists officially ended on December 31, 2025. For procedures performed on or after January 1, 2026, clinics can no longer issue tax refund documents.

QWill the surgeon I consult with actually perform my surgery? Is there any risk of ghost surgery?

AThe board-certified plastic surgeon who consults with you performs 100% of the surgery. Under Korean law requiring CCTV in operating rooms, our operating room CCTV is in operation to protect your rights as a patient.

QHow can I check that a clinic is safe and verified?

AAn objective indicator is the KAHF mark, the accreditation program designated by the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare for medical institutions serving international patients. You can also verify that the surgeon is a board-certified plastic surgeon on the Korean Society of Plastic Surgeons website.

QWhat payment methods do you accept?

AWe accept international credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, JCB), cash (KRW, USD, and other major currencies), Alipay, and WeChat Pay.
